Learn To Confront Your Own Mortality In 7 Steps

let's break THE TABOO ON DEATH

An online video course to help you face the inevitable and reduce your fear of death

The one thing all human beings have in common, is the fact that one day, our life will end in death. What does death mean to you? How does it make you feel?

Chances are the thought of death triggers fear or anxiety in you. You might not feel totally comfortable with the idea of death.

Still, it is a matter that concerns each and every one of us. But regardless of our religious beliefs, or our cultural and social background, it is very common that death is not a subject we talk about regularly nowadays. In fact, it is actually a subject we have gotten used to avoiding.

Research shows that in our modern-day Western society death denial is a common attitude. Which is very contradictory in itself when you think about it, as death is ultimately the one thing we can not avoid from happening.

With my online video course I will give you the tools to explore your relationship with mortality, and reduce your death anxiety.

become death aware

The fear of death is at the core of all our other fears and anxieties

In this course I will let you explore your current relationship with mortality so you can figure out what death means to you. By doing so you will create a sense of death awareness.

Death awareness stands for: the awareness of death & mortality. The awareness of the fact that one day, you will die.

By creating this sense of awareness, you will learn to integrate death into your life, as a part of life, and you may discover it can even change your perspective on life.

Testimonials

"As a health care provider working with the elderly, I am confronted with the end-phase of life on an almost daily basis. But as the focus at work is on the patients’ experience, I was aware that facing my own mortality was still mostly an unexplored area. A Course In Dying gave me the tools to work through my own thoughts and emotions around death in a structured, conscious manner. It helped me to shed light on a part of myself that was mostly still in the shadows. And as they do, shadows dissipate when we turn on the light. I feel a lot better prepared now to face the finite nature of my own life than before - and better equipped to stand by others undergoing the same process. "

"I've been struggling with crippling death anxiety for years. but after doing Claudia's course 'Get Ahead of Death' I no longer feel like a hostage to my own thoughts on mortality. Claudia's vision on how it is not death itself that scares us, but our own thoughts about it, gave me a huge personal breakthrough. This is a valuable lesson I will carry with me for the rest of my days."

"By going back in time and recounting my own experiences with death, I noticed how my interest in the end of life has always been present in me. As a mortician and palliative care worker, death fascinates me, and I believe it is something endlessly intriguing and beautiful. Working with Claudia gave me a more in-depth view on the importance of my own work. She taught me to fully embrace my life's mission."

"I thank Claudia for the thoroughness of the step by step process she’s created in the 'Get Ahead Of Death' online video course, and for the gentle way in which she guides one through it. Death can be an unsettling subject, but due to her calm demeanour, as well as her obvious experience and knowledge in the field, I felt in really good hands every step of the way."

"Taking the time to reflect on my father’s suicide in depth made me come to terms with his loss much more. Although it has been ten years since his passing, I gained a new sense of peace and understanding working with Claudia. Exploring my experience with his death made me realize the stigma of suicide is very much alive, and we need to remain open about it to counter this. I am very thankful for A Course in Dying for shining a light on this subject."

ABOUT your death awareness coach

Claudia Crobatia

I am the founder of A Course in Dying and a certified grief counselor. Through my research I discovered there is still a lot of taboo on the subject of death. We often don’t know how to deal with the confrontation with death and do not like to talk or even think about our own mortality. With A Course in Dying I create content for you to get inspired to contemplate death.

In my courses I combine my knowledge of thanatology, funerary studies and grief counseling, to help you explore your own relationship with mortality and reduce your death anxiety.

a modern memento mori

As the world is going through a global death scare, mortality has become an even more relevant theme

Especially now that the world has been confronted with a global death scare during the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the perfect time to reflect on death. We have seen how unpredictable life can be. We have seen how death can suddenly impact us, on a personal level, as well as on a worldwide scale.

You can’t change the fact you will die. What you can do, is change the way you look at death and how you feel about it.
